For the past 85 years, the Omaha Community Playhouse has presented an exceptional range of well-loved musicals and plays as well as unique educational programs for children and adults alike. Celebrated artists and devoted craftsmen work side by side with emerging theatrical talents from our community to produce year-round high-caliber entertainment.
We can’t do it alone. The financial commitment from Playhouse Patrons and Corporate Partners is vital to the Playhouse’s success and livelihood. We rely on gifts to bridge the gap between ticket revenue and the mounting costs of presenting high-quality theatre. Each year OCP must raise approximately $1,000,000 through charitable gifts to continue providing entertainment and educational opportunities to the greater Omaha community.

1. Passionate about your involvement with the Playhouse? Write a testimonial of support about how the Omaha Community Playhouse has impacted your life. These can be used by the Development Department when communicating with prospective donors.
2. Encourage your friends, family, co-workers and contacts to support the Omaha Community Playhouse by buying tickets and making a financial contribution.
3. Give of your time and talent! The donated volunteer hours we receive help offset our expenses. Click here to see some of our available volunteer opportunities.
4. Join ACT II, the Playhouse’s volunteer support group. ACT II supports the Omaha Community Playhouse through the efforts of volunteers who provide opportunities for educational programs, fund raising, promotion and service.
5. Invite people to attend Omaha Community Playhouse special events (and attend with them!) When people attend any of our excellent shows, our annual benefit, special productions, talk backs, ACT II events or more, they experience the magic of the Playhouse and we have an opportunity of gaining one more member of the Playhouse family!
6. Help thank our current donors and supporters. Look at the names and organizations listed in our Prompters and on our website and let them know you appreciate their support of the Playhouse.
7. Consider hosting an event to introduce people to the Playhouse. This could be at your workplace, with your neighbors, a club or organization you attend, or with your friends and family.
8. Be an advocate for the Playhouse in your daily life. Subscribe to our eNewsletter and forward it on to friends. Talk to the people you interact with on a regular basis about your involvement with the Playhouse.
9. Give an in-kind gift. Needs include office supplies, props, tools, printing assistance, costumes, technology and more.
