SPOTLIGHT ON...
THE ROMANCE, THE PASSION, THE POINTY EARS! BAT BOY SIGHTED ON HENRY FONDA DRIVE!
BAT BOY THE MUSICAL - No, it’s not a baseball story. This show will sink it’s teeth into a nonsensical “news” item from some Enquirer-like tabloid that tells of a child raised by bats in a cave near a sleepy West Virginia town. It is wacky, whimsical, and provocative. The Playhouse has found the perfect cast for this musical and they are working hard to bring this half bat-half human hero to life for audiences in the Howard Drew Theatre. The show will open on February 20 and will run thru March 29, 2009. This “biting” comedy has it all-love story-singing-dancing-laughing and a script that is outrageously silly and totally charming. Tickets on sale February 3 for subscribers and on February 10 for the public. Please note Bat Boy The Musical is for mature audiences only. Watch for BAT BOY sightings everywhere! Come to the show for a bloody good time!

Always... Patsy Cline, Written and Originally Directed by Ted Swindley,
is based on the true story of the Nashville legend and Louise Seger, a fan from Houston, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk. The two corresponded until Cline's untimely death in 1963. This musical revue includes Patsy Cline hits "Crazy", "Seven Lonely Days," "Walkin' After Midnight," "True Love" and the peerless heart crusher, "I Fall to Pieces."
Erika Hall-Zadina returns to the role of Patsy that she played to sold out audiences in 2007. Judy Radcliff returns as Louise and Michael Bristol, Bob Kropp, Nelson Lampe and Rick Tritz are back once again as the Jordanaires.
In addition, Sister is coming back and she wants to see you in class... and don't be late! This wildly popular show from summer 2008 returns for another "semester" of adult catechism classes at the Playhouse. Late Nite Catechism is done with love and respect and great humor. You don't have to be Catholic to enjoy it, as hundreds of attendees learned last year. This hilarious comedy features Mary Zentmyer, returning to the Playhouse for her second year.
Tickets go on sale for both shows to the General Public on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
