Two Stages - One Playhouse!












THEATRE TECHNOLOGY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

This two-year Theatre Tech Apprenticeship Program (TTAP), registered with the US Department of Labor and run by the Omaha Community Playhouse, provides apprentices an opportunity to work behind the stage in the scene, costume,  prop,  and electrical shops, as well as the stage management area provides a comprehensive  insight into technical careers available in the entertainment industry.  TTTAP began as a “school to work program” in theatre crafts for beginners but also stands ready to serve those who are ready to move up to the next level.  Students will earn approximately 54 college credits while attending this program,  through the Metropolitan Community College offerings in theatre arts.  This apprenticeship can lead to an associate’s degree and other certifications through additional coursework at Metro.  See this link:  “visit the MCC Theatre Tech Website”
